Meet Nina

Nina Faye Isaacson, M.S.O.M., L.Ac, NCCAOM

I was raised on a farm in Idaho where I raised bunnies, bummer lambs, and calves. I used to go fishing after school and loved the solitude of those hours on the banks of the Snake River. I graduated from Twin Falls High School and then earned a B.S. degree in Speech and Language Pathology from BYU, in Provo, UT.

After marrying the most wonderful guy in the world, I stayed home and raised our children as a full-time mom for 20 years. Carrying lots of little children and working hard in our home took its toll on my body and in 2004 I found myself in bed for 10 months with excruciating pain in my lower back. MRIs showed two herniated discs. The pain medications didn't help much. It was time for back surgery, but a friend suggested acupuncture. I went to East West Acupuncture in Salt Lake City. With treatments from Regan Archibald my back became pain free! I had my life back and the pain did not return!

That's when my husband and I decided we needed to learn this medicine and bring it home to our friends and family. We sold everything in our home at a garage sale for a quarter, packed up our children, and left for the Big Island of Hawaii where I attended the school Regan had graduated from. After I graduated from an intensive four year Masters Program, we returned home loaded with knowledge, enthusiasm, and a burning desire to bring this incredible 3000 year old medicine back to the community we love.

Opening an office in Spanish Fork has been full of surprises. I quickly found my schedule booked as patients told friends and family about pain relief and better health! Migraines and headaches have gone away giving people their lives back. Back, shoulder, and knee pain has disappeared. Depression has eased bringing light hearted smiles and emotional relief. Labor induction has helped young mothers have an easier and drug free delivery. I never cease to be amazed at the miracles this medicine brings to many people who seek it out, and I am honored to be allowed to participate in the healing process of the new friends that I meet each day.
